...
I will defer to Statfreak to give us a accurate account of how many members and posts we had on the old ite.
...

I don't have exact figures.

We pruned the membership every so often of those members who never posted and spammers, so the count would run anywhere from around 1100 to 2000+ members at any given time. The last member ID given out on the old site was #9851 (almost 10,000 signups). More practically, we actually had about 400 or so active members (more than 5 posts) and about another 400 or so that had posted at least once.

The highest post count ID was just over 63000, but many posts and some threads were deleted, both accidentally and purposefully.

<ADD>PS: The highest topic ID was just under 8000.

Anytime I am going to spend a big chunk of change on something, I do a ton of research. It must be the Scotsman in me! rotflmao
I found this site while checking out all the sites selling slots. And boy am I glad I did!!  Other than a gun site or two, a couple of blacksmiths sites and a Magicians site, I rarely post anything anywhere.
This place has been a Godsend to me.  The wonderful people here are eager to help a raw beginner like me (and put up with our repetitive stupid questions).  that is somewhat rare these days! applause
It has made my journey into the world of slots most enjoyable.  I have learned a lot since joining here and can say I haven't had this much fun on a board in a long, long time! yes
Now if  I can figure out where to find the money, and the room frying pan for a second machine, I will be really rolling along.

I happened upon KLOV while googling Bally model 809 and decided to join their forum. I posted some questions, but after a few hours I had no response. While waiting for help I searched their forum. I found a post which included a link to NLG. In the NLG forum, I noticed many posts were being responded to courteously by NLG members. I joined the NLG forum and received correct advice within hours which solved my problem. The members on the forum are very knowledgeable and seem eager to help. I plan on being here a long time and hope to assist others in need, when I learn the trade.

I learned about this site about 2-3 years ago from Dan of dansgames when he picked up a butt load of parts from me.  So I thank him for that!.  Thanks Dan and NLG.  Just thought I would share as it or I was never asked on the "old" site.-  Barry.

google search for igt aristocrat... the ONLY place that had any info was NLG.... so, as I began to fix the old girl, people like OP Bell were terrific!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I only hope that I can help someone out with some of the things I have learned or read!!!!!!!!!!

bob in phx.

an additional thought.. its really good to know that there is a slot shop, somewhere, that has techs that know what they are doing. I have been into and in fact worked with 2 slot shops here in PHX and they were really just junk pushers. The would buy the slots, blow the dirt out, windex the front, put a huge price tag on them and then sell them. No check out or anything. If the slot didnt work, the customer was never really given any true help. Sure, they replaced a few slots under warranty, but with a 30 day warranty, they didnt have much to worry about... The repairs after that were to strip parts from slant tops and send the machine back out. The real kicker is that they were in business for more the 15 years... so, as I stated before, its nice to see a shop with a real service dept!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I truly didnt think any slot dealers did that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, the poker machine was cool enough, but a TAF pinball?!?  That's a highly desired pinball title.  Congrats!

I first heard about New Life Game through a friend who was in to slot machines. He told me that this sight could help with just about any problem I might run into. It's a good place to learn from others who like to work on the older as well as new slot machines. I would tell anyone who asked how did you know how to fix that problem. I would tell them my friends at New Life Games help, and I would hope they would then join our family.  waving flag Clap
