Greetings,

I'm having a lighting issue with my 5-reel 5-coin Elan slot machine.  Seems the 1st coin-in light wont shut off, ever.  When I got the machine the bulb was burned out.  Now that I've replaced it I see why it was burned out- its always on.   I suspect a bad transistor or triac.  I could use some diagrams please. This machine is an Elan but it has a circuit board "card-cage" in the upper box so I suspect its very similar to the Esprit.

Greetings,

I'm still stuck on this one.  Can anyone give an educated guess which transistor might control the coin #1 lamp.  Assuming it's similar to an IGT/Aristocrat machine there is a good chance its the same one.

Thanks

Nothing controls the first coin lamp. It's impossible to play a game without the first coin, so they didn't bother to put in a circuit to switch it off.

Wow, I never would have assumed it was by design.   Scratch Head   Glad I didn't go taking things a part.  Its amazing how much trouble you can cause just by "looking" into something.  Thanks Op-bell
