Once you set your dip and jumper settings before doing a clear, you should never touch them again.

Got the Rapid Double Jackpot working.  Problem was bad wire in door optic.

on a 6000 if you pull the plug off optics on machine side and jump wires this will tell if optics are working the 50 should go away if not is is in the machine      Paul

Hi,

I've been reading through this thread...

I have a Proslot 6000 Blazing 7's game. Code keeps coming up 50. or 5.0.
I've tried jumpering, wire tracing to the backplane, full RAM clears with the correct chips, all the testing seems to work, but in normal play mode the code 50 is stopping coin & bill acceptance.

All other tests work (game option setup, bill accept, coin accept, payout, accounting, etc.) but when reset or powered up, code 50 still comes up. You can hit Pseudo Coin and spin the reels, door open or closed, but it won't accept coins or bills for normal play. The LED om the back of the coin acceptor is solid red, no lights at all on the bill acceptor until you put the machine in diagnostic mode 3 and then the coin and bill acceptors work normally.

I've pulled off the sensors and checked continuity & solder joints. I've jumpered the connectors on the machine side. I haven't checked for voltage on this circuit (what should I be looking for?)

Other than that, all other tests seem to work. This machine has no 'Cherry Switch' for the main door.

Any pointers would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Code 50 is main slot door open, try using a flash light and shine it into the optics sensor on the cabinet side, if the optics and wiring are good the code will disappear in a few seconds.

Got it fixed!!

Turns ot the ribbon connector wasn't fully seated in the board behind the reels, I had to pull the reels out and unplug and re-set the connector.

All door codes vanished, the top light works on power up and the coin and bill acceptors work fine... Game On!
I checked all the ribbon cables on the machine after that, the rest were seated fine.
