Hi jorge,
I am not sure if there is any major difference between an aussie machine and a North American machine
other than the voltage it's running on. :103-
The coin mech connects into a harness on the door.
Can you snap a couple of pictures of the insides to give us an idea of your machine?
Especially around the area behind the door panel.
I'd like to see your wiring connectors.
More details and pictures from your machines insides will help us get your machine running like a flagship! :89-

When you reply to a post there is a BROWSE button that lets you locate the image file on your hard drive.
Simply hit more-attachments to add in your next pic.

We humbly request that you limit the size of your images to 640x480. The product called Infraview is handy for resizing your pics.

Apparently, not even the casinos in Australia have the schematics. They have authorized IGT reps that come in and fix the machines.

In Australia we can repair and service the IGT machines and many others but they will not give us any service information or schematics, I work for United
Technology Services and now we are 49% owned by Ainsworth and I cant't get any information about any of the machines. Not even the Technicians share
their service tips or schematics, that is quite obvious at the amount of Aussie Techs sharing their info on the web. In my workshop we repair parts for about 8000
machines, IGT, Ceronix, Konami, Stargames, etc etc, and when I started the only schematics and service book was from Ceronix, the rest I was told to
figure out myself. Hopefully I might shame a few of them into sharing, and yes Aristocrat and IGT service some of their machines in the venues but not
all of them. The clubs and hotels make their deals with the companies as to how many and which machines are serviced by the private service companies, it
is a very different world here in the land of oz.

If there is specific manuals you are looking for don't be shy about asking here. If one of our members has it, they can either email it to you or use the Submit a new file. This forum is all about people helping people..... my personal philosopy is that knowlege has no value if not shared.

I've been trying to get the Australian GameKing or what is called the Multistar in your neck of the wood, for 3 years without any success. Let me know what you come up with.

Hi There,

I work for a company in New Zealand that is a licenced dealer for IGT and I have spent the last 9 years working on the aboved pictured boards.  We do have schematics for the boards but have signed a confidentiality agreement with IGT not to reproduce any information to outside parties. Any questions you have I should be able to help.

Cheers
Andrew

i was wondering im triying to connect a bill through the coin comparitor but i dont have the comparitor , i want to simulate the pulse and the sensors if it has like normal igames???
can you explain to me the type of communication for each pulse, example   igames  you need to give the three pulses of the sensors for the machine to believe its a coin, and it has a certain speed  what would be the method for this machine

Hi,

You do know that there is a Bill Validator connector on the backplane through J7.
Anyway I have never had to work out the pulses for the coin mech but J17 pin 5 is the credit pulse normal at 4V, drops to 0V at a 5mS pulse when a coin is accepted. Pin 6 is at 2 volts and pin 7 is normally at 4V and  again when a coin is accepted something happens on this line dropping to zero volts but it is not just a high low. I don't have a scope that can capture what it is doing. Sorry.

Should also add that on J17 pin 5 is the Credit line, pin 6 Invalid and pin 7 is Verify.

Welcome Fingroper,
Sounds like some good information that someone here will need.

K+ for sharing

I have to agree that this site is a great resource for sharing information for all levels of interest. I just wish it was as easy to own these types of machines in Australia as it is in other countries. I picked up a retired machine in NZ  and brought it here to Aus with me when I moved for work. Unfortunately ownership is frowned upon here and so I either have to learn to service the machine myself, or just pack it up and get rid of it  :(

I have a IGT GU4 in NZ.  Can anyone suggest what new coin comparitor I could plug in and use to use tokens instead of coins?
