I am sure this will come to pass in the near? future...maybe some decent glass/kits will show up after things dry out..

I don't think they're closed because the actual casinos are flooded, it's just that the access roads to them are flooded and people can't get to them

Yeah, I guess the casinos have to be on the river (and thus float), but the hotels are what are flooding.

Once everything dries out then it can be cleaned or replaced.......I had ham radios (handie talkies) that fell in the water. I let them dry, hot hair dryer, and no problems.

I love it when I get "waterlogged" electronics.  Most people throw them out, but as long as there was no power flowing to them so they didnt short, I just wrinse them in distilled water, dry them out, then put them in a sealed container with rice...  as good as new.  the rice soaks up humidity like a sponge.  best thing I've ever used for that stuff...

The machine that I'm working on currently was in a flood and it had a half inch of sediment on everything from when the flood water subsided. So far the only thing that didn't still work was the hopper motor and I don't know if it was dead before the flood or not. They were in a scrap yard warehouse when the entire warehouse flooded. The only thing left to work on is the WBA so all in all the electronics on it were unharmed.

The slots are fine, most casinos moved them to the upper floors just in case the moorings didn't move up enough for the high water. None of the casinos are reporting water on the floors, just the hotels and other unimportant buildings. Lots of clean up to do, some will re-open by Memorial Day weekend. There are rumors afloat that 1 or 2 will be pulling a President in St. Louis and won't come back, but we'll see.

I think they got smart about water and slot machines, so things are higher up and or float!

The problem is rust sets in quick and the newer machines have lots of crome that pits really quick!
