I was recently at the Club Cal Neva in Reno and they had two 50 cent slot machines that paid out in real Silver Dollar (Not Ike) coins.  I also found an old Bally at the Delta Casino  in Virginia City  that did the same.  Does anyone know if any of these machines are still in operation in the Las Vegas area?  They called them Silver Strikes at Club Cal Neva.  Thanks!

The machines pay out in Morgan and Peace dollars.  I did a lot better at Cal Neva than Virginia City BTW.

You need to get specific winning combos in order for the silver coins to be dispensed.  Otherwise you get .50 coins as payouts.  These were the early versions of what they now call "Silver Strikes" which are $10 gaming tokens (once made out of silver and copper), but now silver plated nickel with copper border.  I have not seen any of those machines in Vegas since I saw one at the old Aladdin in the late 90's (before it was torn down and remade into the "new" Aladdin and subsequently into Planet Hollywood).

At the Cal Neva, the machines are 50 cents a pull, and the reel strips have Silver Dollar images with numbers 1,2,5 or 10.  If you line up 3  Silver Dollars all with the 5 on them, 5 Morgan or Peace coins drop into the coin tray.  The machine in Virginia City was an old E/M bally that was a 25 cent multiplier.

Right now if you want to buy a full bag 1000 of any dates  you would pay around 20k   silver dollars are worth more than just  the silver in them  key word silver  will  give you price      each has 3/4 oz of silver    which is sellng at 17.50  now
