Can someone tell me what the recommended SG chips are for a Double Lucky Strike 5R9L90CR is? Also if there is a recommended sound simm other than a 042
I'm changing my working 5R9L45CR Three Times Pay to the Double Lucky Strike.
I'm using a known working 504 rev B board with MM lite.
I'm using SB101022 for this game.
A known working VSO11GX1
I've tried two different SB chips from different sources.
I've tried known working SG000598, SG000523 and the ever popular SG000363.
All yield the same result, some drive a game mismatch error that will not clear, others start out OK but never leave the checking memory screen.
I'm pretty sure it's the wrong SG/SB match for this game. Similar to my Double Diamond 5R with free spins that needs SG000597 chips to operate properly.(still waiting for 597s or I would have tried them also).
If I go back to Three Times Pay SB with any of the above SG chips on this board everything works fine. Scratch Head

Also if there is a recommended Simm for the Three Times Pay that would be great also.

One more question is there a place a normal Joe can go to get the recommended SB/SG/Version/Simm combinations for S2000 games?

Thanks for your help in advance you guys are always great applause

Thanks
Rich

Appears to be a clone of Double Gold? Let me look around, as we have a few five reel machines sitting around. I know we have a Double Gold in another building...maybe we can find something there for you?

Ok, I will try and get over there and get the chip numbers/combos. Unfortunately, I remembered something after posting. Sometimes I pull the boards when the games arrive, and if that was the case, the set is no longer together...

We have a Double Gold for sure (it is the super tall, 31" top box version), but may have a Double Lucky Strike. I know there's a Lucky Strike of some variety, I was thinking it was Triple Double Lucky Strike though...I'll have to go look to be sure.

Hey Rich,

I looked this week and we have a Double Gold machine, but I pulled the board when it arrived. This means chips have been pulled and SB and SGs are not paired anymore.

The Lucky Strike machine is a Triple Lucky Strike, so no luck there either.

Rich  This can only be a guess on my part. I'm guessing the 363 will work fine. Now I have the files for SB101022 in three places on my computer with two different check sums. I think it's safe to assume that one of them is bad. Is there a outside chance you got the base chip from someone that got it from me and I gave them the bad one ??  If you have a eprom burner or know someone close that has one, the check sum I have are ( 2) C6C4,  the other one is 2913. ( law of averages says the 2913 is bad but I don't have a 5 reel to test it in )

Have you tied a full clear on the machine before the new chips are installed?

I can look for the SB out of our game tonight. It has to be here somewhere, as the game came with software. I'm 99% certain the SGs would have been 363s or 597s (I think that's the SG we've gotten a lot of in 5 reel machines anyway).

Roz  Is that check sum taken from a original chip, or from a file someone gave you. ??

You guys are wizards the problem is solved. I tried all three check sums and Roz is correct 2913 is the correct check sum for the SB101022. It Works!!
Buzz thanks for leading me down the correct path. While you guy were adding additional replies I was trying chips. It's working with the trusted 363 I have not tried others.
The two chips I had with check sums of C6C4 and C6B4 DID NOT WORK.

Thanks Cowboy I had tried full clears early on. I never thought to check the "check sum " of the chips I had, thanks Buzz
+1 (Karma, or whatever) for all

Thanks again folks
