Does that mean KY will work? Sorry!

Plastic gears stay away from petroleum based stuff.

Like I said...anything on hand....but yeah, no petroleum (that's why I didn't recommend Vaseline).

No, wd40 dries out. I use a little 3in1 oil and it's always worked well, but radio shack sells or used to sell a gear lube also.I'd look at the name on the tube, but I'm out of state this week

Super Lube is the stuff we used in the shop. It's a silicone base lube and worked really well

The one I used was a little grey tube, not a spray, but the spray may work better for your application. I was using on the gears in VCR's and DVD's and whatnot

Cleaning cards...I think those are snake oil.  Calibration card...highly recommended for TITO users.

Was interesting to me to find out one day that WD-40 meant "Water Displacement"...  Tongue Out
Has nothing really to do with lubrication.  rotflmao
Sprayed some on my door hinges to get rid of the scary movie sounds...came back later on and still sounded scary!  Cry Laughing

To calibrate the transport put the first 4 dip switches down. The BV light should flash when you put it back in the housing. Stick the black part of the paper in and the transport will take over from there. If you wish to test it to see how good it's accepting the bills or tickets then put the first dip switch down and the last four down and put it in the housing. The BV light should stay lit. Now leave the transport in the housing and press the first dip switch back up. This will put it in test mode and you can put anything in it without it accrediting the money. Do this only if you can get the money back out of the BVA box.

To Calibrate  (____^^^^)
To put in test mode (_^^^____) then when in housing (^^^^____)

When the head is very dirty I take a few apart and put them in hot soapy (Dawn dish soap only) water and clean them lightly with a brush. Blow them off with air and let dry. I do this with every part of the head.
