Title: Editing PayTable Sigma b-52 , b-9 .... help
Post by: balagary on February 01, 2010, 01:42:31 PM
I need to edit the paytable on these old pokers to make it lower .  I read the program rom and I can see all the text and stuff but I cant see anything that looks like a paytable . Just for fun i also looked around the card data image chips and didnt see anything there either . I assume it is in plain old ascii text charactors but i just cant see them . any ideas  ?

I can't speak for sigma but the IGT paytable is encrypted - also the chips have a security checksum so if you change one byte and can't do the security hash to generate a new checksum then the chip is rejected.

yeah I was thinking that . I know if you change chips it will give you some type of mis-match rom error which you can use the reset key to bypass and you are good to go . The only other think I was thinking of is that the ascii date I am looking for might be graphics data and not really charactors but that will would leave somewhere to have the logic for the actuall counting of the payout.
