Found in older s+ machines without DBVs.  Any insight?

Thanks!

Just laying inside!  Strange right?  The first time I figured it was just misplaced and didn't belong.  But just picked up another older machine (which, to my amazement, is significantly smaller than all of my other machines...didn't realize they came in different sizes!), there was one in there, too!

They are transformer covers! They go behind the hopper and cover the transformer. There should be little slots for them to slip into. Put them in place if you can.

Bad things happen when coins hit transformers.... Burning Resistor

Oh, and your smaller machine is most likely an intermediate cabinet. Mostly seen in international use and cruise ships...

Ahhhh!  That makes sense!  I'll put them in -- never thought about coins hitting the transformers - but it certainly makes good sense.

And another ahhhhh!!!  Cruise ships and international use.  I think this smaller case size is wonderful for home use -- I love this thing.  It's so "cute!"  It's about two thirds the size of the regular 9" chop top.  It fits nicely on a coffee table in the living room without seeming ominous like the regular sized ones do out of a "game room" setting.  I really like the game colors, theme and all -- but, that said, have you ever heard of glass kits made for the smaller machines in case I decide to change?

Thanks again!

Mvco is really knowledgable on that cabinet. I only know they were made in Balloons & Bars and Triple Diamond, as I have a glass on my website for Triple Diamond, and we JUST took a Balloons & Bars to scrap last week. Darrell said he was tired of looking at it, didn't want to re-wire it, and didnt like the game anyway! Many of them were wired for 220 and had to be converted for use here. (If the machine lights up, but everything's dim, then you know it's 220.)

Those are indded cute little machines.  And yes, there is glass out there, I believe some Double Diamond glas is on Ebay right now, at least I saw it a couple days ago.
I have one, and love it.  I have glass kits for haywire, Cartoon Wild Cherry, and Triple Diamond.  So yes, there is a good handful of titles to collect if you are a kit hoarder like me.

Love how mine nicely fits on top of a small bar refridgerator.

Hey!  Glad you chimed in!  Yes this size is perfect, right?  Had no idea they even existed until I went to check out a CL ad last night and came home with this one when the price was right.   Here's what's throwing me off--the original paperwork came with the machine identifying the chips as 87.79% payback at 3 coins.  The machine tells me game 3343 and reel 878.  I couldn't find this game ("Sizzling 7s") on this site where they show you the chip percentages (it's a 3CM game).  But, still, after a new battery and reset last night, four jackpots (three "Any sevens" and one "triple regular sevens") then today, right off the bat, two triple regular 7s *back to back*.  See pictures below and note credits--literally-one after the next.  Malfunction?

Also--are you interested in selling any "compact" glass kits?

Thanks!

Jason

And now this?!  Just moments after the last post?!  Top prize?!  Is it possible there's a malfunction or do I just need to fly to Vegas right now?!

by the time you get there, your luck will disappear like the vapor trail from the plane.  Sizzling 7's is my favorite theme, I've only hit the top award once in like 7 years.

Just go with it....like Rick said...by the time you find out if anything "might" be going on, it will be gone. Just play and have fun!

TW, same thig. One our Tabasco we just got up last week. We put, seriously no exaggeration, probably $2000 (at least) in the machine. It's set on 98%!!!! For the record it's a $5 machine, but still....do the math....And THEN, in one 20 minute span, I put in $100 and had it up to $4700....go figure. I would have been tickled shitless had that happened in a casino....

And just for the record, when your tickled shitless, apparently it's a pretty good thing! I have never ACTUALLY witnessed nor EXPERIENCED it!!! And it's kinda weird that I will even say that, as I do not like "poop" references.... rotflmao

Hey Rickhunter.  That's what I'm afraid of.  None of my other machines have ever hit anything close to top prize (though, granted, it has only been a few months since I caught 'the bug'), but this machine is paying like crazy.   Anyone have any insight on those chip codes?  (By the way, 3 more "any 7" hits since I got tired of winning and sat down to "The Amazing Race" on TiVo...)!

Hey Roz.  I am hoping that it's just coincidence against this 87% machine...but it's hard to believe after top prize (and so many 'second prize' and 'third prize' hits all within 24 hours (and maybe 1.5 hours)) of actual play.   More hits pictured (two of the first, one of the second).  If it is a true "haywire," that's cool.  It's all in fun.  But just wondering if anyone ever experienced an actual "haywire" with chips...when not playing a "Haywire" machine...

Sorry, but don't kid yourself.....if you were in Vegas you'd call it a lucky streak...there's nothing wrong with the chip.  no They do that...talk to us next week, it will be a different story.

Just a coincidence.  You'll also have hours of play where you can't hit the broad side of a barn.

Without looking at the PAR sheet for your game, I can say with some degree of confidence that the odds of landing red 7s are about the same between the 87% chip and a 97% chip.  Typically to alter the payout percentage, mid-level awards like double and triple bars are added or subtracted to the virtual reels to tweak the payouts.  I'm not aware of any theme that made it more or less likely to hit the top award to alter the payback percentage, as it would be a huge swing.

Also of note, Sizzling 7s typically has frequent "any 7" hits -- that's a reason why it's still popular in the casino to this day.  I wouldn't suspect that anything is wrong with your machine right now -- you're just on a hot streak, which will eventually end.  Every spin of the machine is an independent event, and the outcome of the previous spin has no impact on future spins.

Many dissagree  stir the pot / get cooking, but a lot of times machines pay real good after a ram clear, then settle back to normal very shortly. Most of my big wins happend on machines that were recently cleared and setup.  But could be a coincidence

Interesting!  I've certainly never hit a "streak" like this on any of my other machines...  That said, I've done a ram clear on two other machines and didn't get very lucky on those, either...

On another note -- I tried to figure out how/where to install those plastic "coin deflectors" (for the lack of a better term), and, aside from just laying them next to the transformer, I can't see any rhyme or reason on how they should be installed.  Does anyone have any photos of one of these in place, by chance?

Thanks!
