I sold a topper that requires more power than I realized.  I'm wondering if the black box in the picture is possibly a power supply for the topper.  Is the black box a normal component of an S+?  Anyone know?

You may have a switched 120v receptacle in the lower back part of the cabinet, but I also believe your fluorescent lights run off 120v
