ok so I was playing my double diamond machine after paying out some credits, I was playing the coins back into the machine when I all of a sudden got a 3100 error. I tried opening and closing the door to reset it but it does nothing. the reels are constantly spinning slowly and im unable to play the game now. any idea what went wrong here?

Open the door and turn jackpot reset key.  That should stop reels from spinning.

ok, got the reels to stop spinning, turns out there was a coin jammed in the hopper that's why I was unable to reset the machine

Code 3100 its an Extra Coin Out

Check for possible tampering or hopper malfunction.   rotflmao

It's time you've serviced that hopper.
Make sure it works before trying to play a game.

Here's some links of how an S+ hopper works...>>>

ive changed over an American silver dollar machine to Canadian loonies, because the American dollars are bigger I couldn't get the Canadian ones to pay out. I switched the shelf wheel in the hopper to a quarter wheel and its just a bit to small. it pays the coins out but once in awhile one will get stuck. im thinking if I get another quarter shelf wheel and just grind it down a small bit it will work perfect

im just curious if anyone knows the different sizes of the hopper shelf wheels?
the quarter one I have is 5 3/8"  and I believe the dollar one I have is about 5". im curious if like a 50cent wheel would be 5 1/4" because that would probably be perfect for me

Have you tried canadian quarters with your wheel?
It might be an easier solution?

I have 2 machines, 1 is going on Canadian quarters perfectly and the other ive set up for Canadian dollar coins and it all works except for the payout. the current shelf wheel isn't the right size and the coins just keep going around and underneath the knife. when I put the quarter shelf wheel in there it paid out my dollar coins but sometimes they would get stuck as the shelf wheel is a little too big

Sounds like your knife isn't on TOP of the shelf.
Two screws loosen it up, hold knife on top of the shelf and tighten back up.
Clean junk outta there 1st!

its tight to the shelf but the coins are too small for the gap between the shelf wheel and the knobs so the little knobs end up pressing the coins behind the knife. once one goes behind there they all do. im thinking a little bit bigger shelf wheel should solve the problem

Sounds like the hopper was set-up for large gaming tokens?
Place a WTB (Wat To Buy) ad in the Classifieds section of NLG for a quarter hopper shelf and pinwheel.
I'm sure a member somewhere will have one to sell to you.

If the Canadian Loonies are the same size as the Susan B Anthony dollar then the fifty cent shelf wheel will work just fine.
