There's one you didn't list:

SP 1311   Type 0,/1/4/5/14  10MHz

I'd take that over the SP1253 any day of the week. I have both. The SP1253 applies credits very slowly and unevenly, even when compared to the older chips like SP731. The SP1311 is nice and fast like the SP1271. The SP1253 was so annoying that I thought something was wrong with it at first, and after I found out that this behavior was normal I went out looking for a replacement.

Are you guys saying that SP1311 should be used in place of SP731 on older games like Double Diamond and Red White and Blue?

SP1311 is the recommended chip for Type 14 games (tournament games).  I think it's pretty much concensus that 1271 is the way to go, unless you want to pick a different tunes for type 4 or 5 games that have the spin 'til you win feature, then you go with 731

Please refrain from asking for binary files in these discussion forums.  This kind of activity is strictly against the terms of use of this site.  We do not want any kind of legal issues with the slot manufacurers.

To answer your question, yes SP1060 and SP1312 are both type 3,6 10Mhz slot programs.

I noticed that the SP1137 ("Montana Credits/Euro credits") chip will only work with a 10MHz board.
I cannot get it to work with a 16MHz board.
I don't know how to add that information with the SS/SP lists.

Its my understanding that the reel chips can be used in any board and its the Game Chips that are the issue.

I beleive the differentiating factor is that the newer chips have sound control in them where as the older chips do not. I am sure there are other reasons as well but that is the major one that sticks out in my mind.

Do we have game chips listed in the bible ?

I'm sorry,
I meant to add this information to the SP list...if there is one

ADD>> there MUST be an SP list because I downloaded one from here last year...
On it, stated various SET's  that were compatiable and which MHz board certain game proms were known good for....

Theres lists around.... just not in the bible.

The PSR usually tells you what SET chips work.

I have found that most set chips work with any of the game chips. Set015 was my good standby, Set026 does 1c denominations.
You need Set90 (pr later) to setup progressives with 1271 or later but if you are not doing progressives the previous mentions worked just fine.
Set90 however is not backwards compatabile and won't work with 731....

It sounds like this would be a good addition. If you were to concoct a list in the form of a web page. We can then get it posted as an addition to the game bible.

I agree with you about the PSR's telling one which Set chips work with which SP's...
however, not all and only very few PSR's will say which MHz board the SP's work on.
which, in turn, leads one to wonder> because the MHz is not stated - then the SP must be compatiable with both MHz boards?

That's what I will try to compile...

ADD>> the address that's printed on my reference doesnt work>>

I only have a poor scanned copy...the original isnt on my hard drive.
The better list was on the address I posted above but it's lost...
I pasted it in google search and the 3rd link brings me to "Voy" forums...

That's a very important document.  Thank you so much for posting it.   There is something comforting knowing that the file is sitting on your drive - can't explain it

Volume (on the 16MHz), and some of the older ones had selectable music for the bonus rounds, IIRC.

According to this post from Ken at Ohio Gaming, SP1289 supports Type 25 (Bonus Sizzling 7's with the add-on light bar in the top glass).

I don't think there's anything on the "Bonus Sizzling Seven's" in the "Bible" yet as well. Scratch Head
Just the plain "Sizzling Sevens"... sleep
