Hello.  I just wanted to say that I am new here.  I have been reading things and lurking around for a couple of weeks now but thought I should finally come out of the woodwork and say hello.  I recently got a couple of slot machines for S&G's and have had little problems here and there with them.  I have found this site to be very helpful but I don't really know anything about these machines so I can't be of much help but sure appreciate the information I have gotten so far, I have learned allot.  I am hoping to 'show off' my little collection and show the changes I make if that's OK but will need to figure out where to do that.  Anyway enough of this, back to your regular scheduled programming.  bust gut laughing

BTW - I have 1 IGT s2000 and a few IGT S+ machines.

Ashyron, welcome to NLG. We used to have a "Pimp my Slot" thread for changes and mods, but when  I posted my cold cathode light mod, I could not find it. When you're ready look for a thread that may apply or start a new topic in the appropriate category. We all love pictures and mods!!  applause

Welcome to NLG ashyron. wave

If you click on the Forum button and look in the "General NLG Chat" board group, you will find two boards that might host your thread. One is Before and After Restoration Pics and the other is Home Game Rooms.

Congratulations on your recent purchase. I've sent you a personal message (pm). You will see a link to those at the very top of the page in the blue box where your member name is displayed.

Just curious, what is "S&G's"?

StatFreak thanks for telling me where to go to post pics.  So far I haven't done much to the machines.  I bought some new buttons for the machines and still working on replacing those and the switches while I'm at it.  I been taking pictures of the buttons before and after but just basically for my records.  Not sure that's anything people really want to see.

S&G, well for forum purposes it is P&G, poop and giggles.  rotflmao

I love the machine and the theme.  The theme is pretty colorful, just what I want in a game room (to be).  And it's a round top too.  I hear, and am noticing, that getting stuff for Val (the Volcano machine) is pretty hard.  I can find very little information on it.  The one I would really love to get is Caino Nights.  It's a pretty old game and I'm not sure I could even put it on an S+ machine or not.  Speaking of S+ when someone says 9" or 16" does that mean the top glass??  *giggle* I know what your thinking and is your mind always there??  bust gut laughing rotflmao bust gut laughing rotflmao bust gut laughing

You are correct. And there's a whole lot of opinions as to what's best...RT, 16", or 9"....hmmm stir the pot / get cooking

Well my opinion so far is I am liking the RT, they look so cool.  Most everything I have though is a 9".  I would assume Bally machines have the 16" top glass.  And to continue with my opinion, nope, better not just yet.  I'm new here so I better keep that one to myself for now.

We paid a pretty penny for this s2000 and once we got it it didn't work but the guy we bought it from has done everything he can (sending parts, hours on the phone trying to diagnose etc) and finally got it up and running.  That's is why I have pictures of the inside, I sent them so they could see if there was anything wrong just by looking at it in pictures.  I know there are threads for posting game room pics and posting pics of the machines but where do I post pics of the inside of a machine?

And thanks for the welcome but know that I will probably have lots of questions LOL.

Bally has all 3 types. I like the 9" aka "square top, aka "chop top" machines the best, you can put a bucket or a drink on them, they often have nice chrome trim and top also.
here is a pic of a 2003 Bally S6000 9" top
Thanks,
Wayne

Now that's a nice looking top.  It must be the old Bally's I don't like.  I think my favorite so far are the RT's and then the 9".  I guess that's what I am used to.  You can't put anything on top of te but that's ok, I have tables, LOL

For posting pictures if you want to find it later on for reference, we usually post under the machine name in the Forum Index. You can also tell us how you fixed it, if you like.
