Hello,
I'm trying to connect a Mikohn ChamII+ (stand alone) to my Universal (Wonder Bar - eprom 8933, model 8930).
I've read in the Uni book (thank you Uniman) that the wires from the sub-board (purple, black & blue) must be connected to the controller - to J7, i guess -
but the Mikohn manual does not indicate the connections for Universal (to which pins ?).
Please, can you help me ?
Thank you.

It's been awhile since I installed a ChamII+ Standalone. And I don't have any dip switch info for the 8933 and Wonder Bar.
I think the purple wire would go to J7-pin3 (1st machine input) and the black wire to J7-pin13 (ground). The blue wire is normally used for a two level progressive.
Will do some searching this weekend and see if I can find more info.

Edited for correction! 3/25/11

J7 on the Cham II+ is the machine connection.
Pin 3 on J7 is Coin In
Pin 11 is Serial Return
Pin 13 is Ground

Yes, let me correct my last post. Purple wire to J7-pin #3 and black wire to J7-pin #13. Do not believe the older Uni's used a serial return.

Update, I found the progressive signal output for Wonder Bar, 8930.  Purple wire is for "WonderBar-WonderBar-WonderBar" jackpot hit.
Blue wire is for two WonderBars on the line and one above/below the line.
If there is a yellow wire, not used.
So purple goes to 1st input on J7, which is pin 3

On the 4-pac dip switch you want #1 ON for 1st jackpot lockout control and #4 ON if you want Progressive Full Lockout.

Ok, I went to the garage and dug up my ChamII+ Standalone. Also found a 8930 3-coin Wonder Bar game chip and put it on a board. along with machine chip 8933-0041.
Connected purple wire to ChamII J7-pin #3 and black wire to J7-pin #13. The ChamII still had an old program in it.
With each bet the ChamII incremented as programmed.
When a jackpot is hit the slot will send a long pulse to the ChamII signaling a jackpot. The ChamII will display the word JACKPOT, the amount and the reset amount as CURRENT.
When the jackpot key is reset the machine will tally the original game jackpot amount to it's meters.
Hope that helps
