Hi,
I need a power supply for what I believe to be an 80's Universal slot machine called Fortune 500. Model # 855-2 3B.
Can anybody point me in the right direction to find one?
Pictures below.
Thanks, Jerry

Have you tried removing the noise filter located in the power supply?

What are the problems with it?

Here is a thread that may help; http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=177.0

Hard to find them, may be easier and cheaper to fix it.

One more thing, what board does your machine have, an 8116 or 8800. I'm betting it's a 8116 because of the game.
The reason I ask is because that red connector below the two white connectors on the side is for the 8800 board. Even though I see a red dot sticker on that power supply I believe it is a Yellow Dot power supply.
The power supplies in Universals went through several upgrades. First there was the Green Dot, than they upgraded the Tower Board located in the power supply and called it a Red Dot power supply. Then they went to electronic light ballasts for a short time and created the Yellow Dot power supply. The Yellow Dot had two output votages changed from 110v ac to 24v ac on pins #6 and #12. Then they went back to regular 110v light ballasts and rather than change the power supply they changed the wiring harness in the cabinet!
After that they added that third connector on the side to provide more power required by the 8800 board. Belive it is +12 and -12v dc.
It gets confusing!! The model 8552 3B means nothing here, that is a game number. The Uni's never had an actual model number.
What you need to do is identify your board number and then post a picture of the harness that plugs into the front of the power supply. This picture should not be a close-up rather pan back a bit so I can see the wiring going to the door. This will tell me if the wiring was modified to accept the Yellow Dot power supply.
