I am thinking about buying a non working universal model y92 this weekend. the only thing it does is the light light up. Does anyone have a manual for this machine? I am guessing to check the battery first once I get it home, not much i can do till then.

I would check the power supply outputs first.

Chances are the noise filter in the power supply is bad. The fix is to remove it, a fairly easy job. See this link--> http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=177.0

Y92 is not the model #, it is year of manufacture. No real model # for the older Uni's.

Thank you Uniman, the one wire was corroded on the noise filter. All my wores were green but I attached as was shown and it is up and running. I had the hopper working and now it just seems to clear the credits out when it hits a winning combination. Not sure if there is a loose wire some where or not.

No model number. What you can do is press the green test button nine (9) times and record the five different numbers flashing in your win meter. Each will start with 9, the test number. They will be the system chip number, system chip version, game chip number, game chip version, and then the credit limit.
Post the numbers and I will identify the % payback.

What mpu board does it have? Sounds like the 8116, but could be a 8800.

Also, check your email.  Mail

Not sure about the clearing credits?  Scratch Head

99003
90016
99120
90009
91200

Ok, your system chip is a 9003.0016
I have no documented info on this system chip.

Your game chip is a 9120.0009
This is most likely a Midas Touch game, but could be several other themes such as Golden 7's, World Series, etc. It is a 3-coin buy-a-pay game. It has a 92.021% payback. Of course that is based on almost a million spins!

And your credit limit is set to 1200 credits. On the raised sub-board located at location 1A there are eight dips. Right now #1 should be OFF, #2 and #3 should be ON. If you set #1 to ON it will increase your credit limit to 2500 credits, the max you can get. (must do a RAM clear after changing any dips)
Dip #4 determines "credit only" or "credit selectable". Set it ON if you want always credit all wins. Set it OFF if you want wins to pay immediately and to set credit wins by pushing the cashout button before playing.
Don't touch DIP's #5, #6, and #7. DIP #5 determines type of optic used for coin in optics. OFF for gray optics and ON for black optics. DIP #6 determines hopper type, OFF for standard hopper and ON for red high speed hopper. DIP #7 determines handle optic type, OFF for gray and ON for black.
DIP #8 determines if MAX BET button starts a play, OFF for no and ON for yes. If OFF, the max bet is pushed and the spin button needs to be pushed to start game.

Wow, you have the standup model. I have one too, but not with the roundtop topper. Really nice!! And mine doesn't have the handle.
There's a name for this style but I can't remember what it is?? So I call it the standup. There is no manual I know of for it, but it is just a standard Uni in a big box. It has two sound amps instead of one.
What hopper does your machine have? Mine has a Ashi-Sieko.

I've seen custom themes like football, yours is Boomtown. The reels and glass are different but the software is the same as Midas Touch.

They also made video poker with these cabinets.

Very cool, rare machine!!!

I am guessing it is just a standard hopper. The only names on it are universal in the aluminium and a universal sticker. How much would you say it would be worth?

Seems like about the same as my GameKing slant top. Too much!!!
They were smart to put two wheels on it and a pull handle in the back. Easy to move around.

Worth what somebody is willing to pay. Not to many Uni collectors out there.
Awhile back saw one on Craigslist in Vegas, had a football theme and the handle. They wanted $300 for it and it was listed for several weeks. Assume they sold it.
Yours is the only one I ever saw with the added roundtop.
