So I have a Universal with the codes 13, 50 and i close the door and it becomes 13 and 51. When i put quarters in they just drop right out. I do not have the key to get to the mother board to reset it. Any thoughts?

Ah yes, had this problem countless times with newly acquired machines.
It is the connection between the board and backplane, also called motherboard.
I believe Universal rushed the Ultra Series into production and it cost them. The metal tabs in the pin holes on the backplane are too wide and the pins barely make contact. Often times the pins, mostly grounds, on the mpu will corrode and need cleaning.
Here is a link to this problem; http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=1292.0

The error 50 to 51 is normal as is the 13 and 19, more like messages rather than errors. The 31 is listed as hopper overpay but what is actually happening is the mpu does not see the hopper optic (bad connection).
When you do a ram clear always put your thumb under the board while pressing the clear buttons, this will prevent the board from flexing and coming loose from the backplane.
Also the backplane is held by four screws, two behind the hopper and two behind the reels. Some Ultra owners have found loosening the backplane helps as it will slide up and down. I plug in the board and then loosen the screws and push down a little on the backplane and then tighten the screws. This has worked on difficult ones.
First thing to do is clean those pins and the backplane as listed in the link.

sorry i have been busy, i have taken out the mother board and lightly scrubbed it with a old toothbrush...twice and no luck, and sprayed everything with air.
