Title: Won't focus
Post by: mike111 on October 28, 2012, 03:30:32 AM
Just completely recapped an A One chassis n it took care of all the crazy issues this monitor had but now it won't focus....... With the focus pot turned all the way down on the fly is the best it gets but it's far from a crisp picture ...... What would cause this ???
Thanks

try adjusting the high voltage pot up or down to see if it improves, an improper high voltage will cause focus issues.

your talking bout the2 pots on the back of the fly?... I tried them and I have thr brightness about right.. the focus pot as low as it will go will get the pic as good as possibel... Im leaning toward this thing having low hi V ....... When i discharge the tube it dosent have much a charge in it.... DO you know a good source to get flys ?? I cant find one for this chassis... All the WG flys are pretty easy to find....
Thanks

What's the voltage at the horiz output transistor? You may also have worn out guns on the tube. Any access to a tube rejuvenator?
