Title: LCD Monitor Cycles Through Colors
Post by: kevlar442 on January 04, 2013, 07:47:20 PM
Hi everyone,

I have a 42" Revolution HD LCD TV that I've been using as a monitor/sign.  It won't take any input from the PC, and just cycles through colors on the screen.  It will turn off and on, but thats about all it will do.  Does this sound like anything specific to anyone?

Have you tried to connect a different video source? ie- hdmi cable, rca jacks? Sounds to me like the A\D board in the TV is not processing the video signal. The cycling of the colors is a self test that most TV's have, it runs until the TV gets a video signal.

I tried a different VGA input, and also a DVI input.  It just doesn't want to take any input, that A/D is probably shot methinks.

trying recapping the A/D board and see if it comes back, works a lot of times.
