I have a part in my machine and I am not sure what it is or what it does attached are some pictures....
It appears to have 2 fiber optics ports.
Part# 75420200 Rev. A
IGT S+
My guess is some part of a Progressive display.

Not for a progressive - it's an early SMIB. IGT back-end systems used to have a fiber optic local network in the pre-Ethernet days. Those HP opto couplers were the standard interface.

Interesting. I would like to take one of those apart. I would have guessed a progressive as well. Thanks for letting us know what it was Op-Bell. Something new learned already today and it's only 9:00 AM Smiley. Karma to you knowledgeable one.

Sorry! "Slot Machine Interface Board". It connects a game to a slot accounting system. Back in the day this was a very simple interface, basically just a few bytes pushed out of a serial port, which was about as much as the simple CPU boards could cope with. The fiber optic link was a short daisy chain hookup to a concentrator in each slot bank - a small computer with a fiber interface to the slots and ethernet to the main servers.
