I know you can do it after a clear (zero) and before you enroll the machine -- not sure if you can do it after that point.

It'd be worth it to try this:

- Open the belly door
- Open the top door
- Slide the drawer behind the top door out at least a few inches

...then try to turn the JP reset key and try to access the menu.  By opening all of the doors first, you can get past some of the "not authorized" screens.

The strange thing now is I can not even find the menu...I saw it mult. times before and now it is just gone...Thanks for the tips on bypassing the authorizing level...That does work, but again-I can not now find the time and date menu to try and change it...Any ideas or is there some hidden menus?...

I don't have a VLC anymore, but my notes say that the time and date setup is under the "Set Tracking Parameters" menu, which may be under the Game Configuration menu.

I have a copy of a copy of a 8724 manual, but it's a hard copy (printed and in a binder, not digital).  If you run into issues in the future, post here and I can look it up in the manual I have to see what help I can offer.  The manual is pretty crummy, though -- its solution for just about every problem is, "replace the part."  That's not really useful for a home user who doesn't have a stockpile of parts for an obsolete machine.
