Can anyone tell me what this option is?  The settings are 00=Miser III, 01=Miser II, 02=No Miser.  What effect on game play does this setting have?

This is what Miser is by the Bally book I have.
I think it is a back end program for the Casinos.

Well I'll be darned.  I never thought it might be an acronym.  I was taking it too literally.  Thanks for clearing up the mystery.

Were you thinking that the machine became more miserly when the setting was turned up? arrow frying pan rotflmao rotflmao rotflmao

For home use, leave it off or you'll get errors because the machine will be expecting to communicate with the back end server.

Statfreak, that's too funny.  Although when I first came across that setting and didn't know what it was, a friend of mine commented, "Oh, so THAT's why I never get a big payout."

And thanks for the tip to set that option to off.
