IGT S2000 Enhanced Memory Board
http://www.ebay.com/itm/IGT-Enhanced-Memory1-Board-/140921851671?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20cf98cf17

IGT Game King Deluxe SIMM Board

What are these used for? Scratch Head
Are these available for any game or only games that support them?
How do these improve the games?

Thanks for the education!  :Dave

Don't know about the gameking board, but the S2000 board is actually referred to as a legacy adapter board. It's what you use to run most S2000 titles when you have a 1270 enhanced MPU installed in your machine and don't have the newer R board with the software already installed on it. Biggest advantage to those is crisp clear sound. Biggest drawback is the 1270's require the green battery on board and working

I am new to all of this and don't quite follow the R board you mentioned. Can you elaborate a little on this?. More curious than anything but interested. I did attempt a search but could not find anything, Thanks

Ok,we'll give it a shot here.... Board numbers we are referring to are the last 3-4 digits of the board part number...So, 2 types of S2000 standard boards, 50x boards (where. X replaces a number..typically 1, 2,3, or 4) and the "enhanced" 1270 board....

The R board is a game specific board that rides piggy-back on an enhanced board. So, if you have an R board for "double Quadruple 10 Times Pay", it is only for that game...it cannot be changed (without major intervention anyway).

Standard 501, 502, & 504 boards can change games with a simple change of chips.

That concludes Lesson #1!!! Lol!

The Game King Deluxe SIMM boards  allow you to use a 3902 game(I game, Game King simms & chips)
on a 044 board. It attaches, plugs in on the top of the 044 board.
That is my understanding Tongue Out  I have one, I just have not tried it yet.

Thanks for the lesson!!. That helps some I think, LOL. Pictures would always help but I surly don't expect you to post them. If you happen to have time please do so, if not no worry's. Thanks for the info.

While we are at it.....I have an Triple lucky Seven Machine. It is a 5 reel 9 pay line. At the Casino we like to donate to, there is the same machine however it is a 5 reel 20 pay line which obviously makes the game a little different than the unit I have.

My question is: Is this something I could do or have done to my Triple Lucky Seven? I would love to have my machine be a 20 liner. From the little bit I have checked on this it seems not likely.

I'm sorry. I didn't realize we were hijacking Dave's thread. We'll try to stop!

T - Can you start a new thread and tell us (or show us with a pic) what board you have in your machine currently, or maybe provide a picture? Also, a pic of the front of your game so that we can see cabinet size for the glass. To change to a 20-line game, the hard part will be finding the correct glass (showing the correct payouts) for the game, and then find the R board for it.

Any S2000 game over 9 lines requires an R board...

The Triple Lucky 7s game is the same as Triple Stars I think. I have the 20 line Triple Stars R board if you wanted to change to it and could find someone with the glass for it.

If I start a new tread I am not sure how to link to this one. Since a few nice folks have responded, here are a couple pictures of board / machine.

I presume you are willing to sell the R-Board? If so, how much do you want for it? I guess I will need to see if getting the glass is possible also.
