Hello,
I'm new around here and was looking for some help.  I wanted to make a bar top setup using MAME.  I have found an older build of mame that will run the PE+ roms, but I keep getting empty hopper error messages.  I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get past this.  It happens on the basic draw poker and the slot machine roms that I have.  I really want to press on to building this, but I must be too dense to figure this out.

Any help would  be appreciated!

The only help I can give you is that I was having the same error and I set the settings in the game (not Mame) for the hopper to all nines (9999) that is the max it will allow then the let me play without error

what is happening is that there is more credits then the machine has just like a real machine if the hopper runs out of coins you will get the error
