Need help in getting my bill val. to work. I did a complete chip clear and now I cant get the bill val. to work. I do not know how to set amount and keep it at that amount. The bill val turns green for about 10 seconds than turns red. I have a printer on this machine and want to get rid of it for now.I also need to get the coin hopper to work. Thanks Robert

Hi Robert,
any error codes in the display?  Did the BV function correctly prior to the clear?  A Saferam Clear shouldn't stop the BV from working on an S6000.  To take your printer out, there are three nuts that hold it to the inside of the cabinet and you just remove the wires that attach to it, or you pull it forward and disconnect the ribbon cable from the rear then push the release catch at the front in the middle as you pull it out of the machine, this will leave the chassis and bracket in there.  The option for "machine directed payment configuration (61) would need to be set for hopper only(001), this is the default and if you aren't using a hopper, set the hopper limit to zero.  as for you Bill Validator (BV), a 52 error means the cash can door isn't closed all the way, where as a 55 means the BV isn't initializing correctly.  If you haven't had this BV working in the past, then it may be defective.  Do you hear it cycle? did you look to see if the two motors are in the bottom of the transport, I only ask since another member had similar trouble and found the motors to be missing.  I take it it's a wba13, if you have another slot with a wba head, yo can try it in it.  I would look at the hopper controll board to see if it has the chip in it, or is the socket empty, sometimes the casino removes them.  any pics?

Thanks,
Wayne

off topic---You aren't far from Mopar headquarters, I was there a couple years ago and liked seeing the big water tower, then again last august and couldn't see it, asked about it only to find out it was taken down.  A little sad when I heard that.  I think they blew it up like when they demolish a casino, or that's what I was told at least.

Hi thanks for giving me a place to look. I removed the bill val. and there is a 32 pin chip missing on both machines. Do you know what chip I would be looking for. I think that is what I need to get the val working. I did not get any sound from them when i started up the machines. I have an older val. I put in and it ran but is not compatible with this machine. I have enclosed a picture of the bottom of my val.

you have a wba13(23) transport, and I would think you have a wba 13(10, 11, 12, 13) head, is this true?  if so you can get the chips from Jim (link to Blueridgeslots profile), you are looking for ID003 ver 3.75-32i

Thanks,
Wayne

Hi I now have the bill val running but they wont take any bills. These machines came from Canada so I do not know how to change them to take American bills. I bought the chips for the bill val # Id003 ver 3.75-32i . The machines will run in pseudo mode  and would run in normal mode if I could get the bill to regester.

Is it taking the bill in and holding it, or in and then out right away without holding, or is not even pulling it in?

what position are the dip switches in?  You have a wba 13 head and software for it, you don't need to change anything else to take U.S. bills from Canadian bills on a bally.  I go through a lot of heads and get a bad one now and then.  did you try the bills all 4 ways?

Thanks,
Wayne

Hi it takes the bill in and holds it than returns it after a couple of seconds. I tried it all four ways and the same thing. I do not know what the dip switches are suppose to be set at for the bill val. The lights on the bill val. are green and stay green.
