Ran into something on a E2000 Series slot I had not seen before.  When the door is open I have a code of 8300xxx where xxx can be all zeros or changes its values.  I can run the diagnose test successfully with the switch,, hopper, display, and reel tests working fine.  The big problem is when I close the door switch all of the coils start pulling in and out (chattering).  Anyone have any thoughts?

you may have a light socket on the door that is grounding to the cabinet - put a newspaper in the door to sandwich between the door and the cabinet - see if the chattering goes away - if it does - use the paper in smaller areas to isolate the area where the short is.  If the paper does not do the trick - reseat the edge connector on the power supply.
