Picked up this machine today for $50 bucks on craigslist. Was kinda messed up when I got it. Worked on it for about 3 hrs and I'm pretty happy with the way it's working now. Sound coming out of this machine is a little strange. When you win a hand and the credits go up, no sound. Inserting coins in the machine is about the only time it makes any sound. Coin comparitor was messed up when I got it and I had to shim a few stand offs. This machine was made March 1986. Got it looking and working good now. The lights on all the hold buttons are burnt out. Are those easy to replace?

Just about all my HOLD buttons that have the light in the button are burnt out. Anyone replaced these before on this machine? Just wanted to get a idea of the type of bulb and the difficulty of changing them out?

Also have another question. The sound on my machine makes these really loud sounds when putting in quarters and that's about it. No sound when a card hand is won nor does it make any sounds at payout. Is this normal with this Fortune I.
Attached are a couple photos of my machine. I picked it up recently for $50 bucks.

Mike:

Just looking at the list and saw your post.  Did you replace the lights on your HOLD buttons.  It looks like to me that the button and the light are one and the same.

Your questions about your machine are answered in some of the posts in the IGT Fortune1 section.  From what I've read, some machines did not come with lamps under the buttons.  Your machine appears to be one of them from what I see in your pics.  The sounds you hear are all the machine does too.  Watch the video on one of the posts.  Apparently, most people turn the sound off because the sounds are so annoying.  There is a volume control on the board to control the loudness.
