Here are a few pictures showing the connections. I will also post pictures of another members Fortune 1 wiring. Am I missing the actual sound input/connection on the back board?

I am going fishing this wkend, this machine may be coming with...?...

Seems the board in the photo has different connector layouts.

I am just reading up on the fortune 1 schematics a bit more.

If the 16 Pin Dip socket (on the motherboard) that you are showing in the pic is your monitor connection, then according to the block diagram, there should be another 16 pin DIP socket somewhere on your Motherboard for the sound board connection.  Clearly it is not going to be in the same spot as the picture you posted from another Fortune One machine. Looks like a different Motherboard layout.

If you trace the open wires back you should find your sound socket on the Motherboard.

I think my motherboard does not have the 'sound' output.. It only has SCA, VIDEO, AUX, and MATRIX outputs. Think i'm SOL with getting this sound to work. Unless someone has a board that has the proper connections on it.

So apparently the motherboard you have is not the original motherboard for the machine?  Duh!

I did not know IGT made a Fortune One version with no sound.  Very Strange!  Scratch Head

Not cut from the output.. It seems the motherboard does not have a sound output. The video output is a 16 pin that runs to the monitor connection and at that point only 6 of the wires are used. The rest are cut. From the schematics, the monitor only uses 6 wires from the video output. You would think it would say 'video/sound' on the mother board if that 16 pin output was used for both..

I don't know shat about the Fortune 1's and have gotten any other input from others so.. May take it fishing and see how long it can hold it's breath.

Harvey,

What are the model numbers on the motherboard (looks like 263) and the processor board?  It doesn't look like there are actually that many wires being used out of that ribbon cable that go to the sound board.  I'll try and get a close look at my boards and see where they lead to.
