My 1401A monitor went out and I would like to replace it with a LCD.  Is that possible?  Are there any other monitors that I could replace it with?

I've read some posts on the subject.  You need a cga to vga converter which you can get on ebay pretty cheap but haven't tried it yet.  I'm planning on doing that sometime in the near future if I can get some time to work on my fortune 1.  Here's a link to some instructions.

I bought one but could not get it to work.  I read something about the fortune 1 having reverse sync.  Willing to try again but right now beyond my ability

Any updates on this?  I'm trying to do the same thing with the GBS-8200 CGA-to-VGA converter board.  So far no luck.

I never was able to get it to work.  I ended up shipping the monitor out to Vegas and got it repaired.
