I'm new to repairing my own poker machine.  It's worked fine for 20 years.  Opened it up today and had a few credits in it and dealt the hand.  I held the first two cards and everything was fine.  Next hand I could only hold #2 and #3, and no other hands, and can't get it to deal.  It seems like the buttons are "stuck".  Could it be wiring or connection on the buttons?  Should I take it apart or keep trying to push on the buttons?  Thanks

Start by making sure all of the wires leading to the buttons are connected properly.  A little wiggle/push on to each connection may help.  Also, check for a stuck microswitch -- if you push down on the button and listen very closely, you should hear a very tiny click when the button is depressed, and you should hear it click again as you release the button.  If you have a button that isn't making that noise (but the others are), check the switch assembly to see if it's stuck or broken.

I assume I have to remove the front panel to checking the wiring, and to remove it I would need to "unscrew from the inside"?  I'll check it later today (away from the house) and let you know.  Thanks for the reply.

I'd start by just opening the door and checking all of the wires that lead to the buttons.
