If my fortune I has a 1401A in it can I use a 1492 monitor. I can not find a 1401a.

I believe you can, as that's all we HAVE in Fortune 1 machines (and PE+ and Fortune 2, for that matter).  yes

Ok then good luck! Darrell said he uses a 1492 among all 3, maybe there are some wiring changes, but he didn't remember any...unless it was going from a bartop to a upright, of course.
