 :30- I have an IGT slant top video poker monitor that wont power up. I installed a spare monitor and had the same result. Any input on where to begin is appreciated.

Are you sure your spare is good? Need to determine if the monitor is just not getting a signal or if indeed is not powered up (dead). If powered but just not getting a signal you should hear the magnetic field (kind of a static electricity sound) from the monitor and when you turn off power should get a momentary flash to a white dot in the center.  Otherwise the monitor is dead or not getting power.  It is very rare to have a power supply go bad on these.  More likely to have bad connections from oxidation etc  if the monitor is good. 

Thank you, my monitor makes the crackling sound and has the momentary flash on shut down. I do not see a light on the lower left side like I used to. I did move this unit recently, I will double check the connections and look for loose or oxidized connectors. Thank you.
