A little more info will be needed to help you out..

What have you done to try to  "get it to change"?

Did the machine ever work for you?

What lights are ON  on the MPU?

Also, a pic of the board would help IF you need a replacement.

I have tried  the reset key switch, and the white push button on the cpu no change. The top two lights on the cpu flash and the bottom red one flashes also every few seconds the candle light flashes. The game was not working when I got it and was told it was the day before? I never worked on a s2000 before but have had good luck working on the s+ machines for simple repairs. Thinking I need a cpu ? Or what can I try?

Sounds like the MPU is toast.. All the chips are on the board and installed properly? A picture would be informative.

Not sure what board you have but you are gonna want to replace it with a 504 rather then a 502.. 502's sound like shat with a MMLB/Simm. (Or replace the enhanced board if that's the case.) Post a WTB or contact the vendors, you'll be good to go in no time..

How do you know he has an MML2 board? Personally, I think the difference is overrated myself, but that's just IMHO.

I don't know if he has an MMLB, but I do know that seeing it's his first S2000, he will be wanting upgrades like the rest of us.. Main upgrade being the sound.

We had this error the other day....and was caused by a mismatched SB/SG combo. I wish he had a second machine, hate to see him throwing parts at a machine on our direction and have it not be the fix. First thing I thought was power supply....

I agree.. A picture of his board and maybe a few other things to check first.. But when I had that same 'on/off' red light 'dispay passes' on my Tabasco oh so long ago.., I tried everything and ended up buying a 504 from you, Roz.. Fixed it..
