Is it going to be the same as clearing any other s2000 machine??  I wanna do a ram clean on my Double Diamond Deluxe cause it's never been done but I am afraid that if I do a ram clear I will have multi-denom problems later.  Is this the case?? Do I need a special chip?  This is the first multi-denom machine I have so I don't know anything about that.  Any help would be appreciated.

Ron

BTW - Here is a pic of the machine and one of the button deck.  You probably don't need it but here it is anyway.

It is the same ram clear procedure. You will need to use the 97 if you need to set the denom below your current lowest setting .. ie 25Cents is current lowest value.. want 5Cents.

After running the Key 17 ... When you set it back up for multi-denom the settings will be in 7.1.1 Denomination and 7.1.2 Game Selection. I believe there are step by step instructions on NLG somewhere.

hey OG thanks for the info.  If I don't wanna change the denom amounts I should be ok with doing a ram clear and not worrying about the key 17 chip?

If you do a clear.
It erases the RAM, and Statistical and Setup infromation in the EEPROM on on the motherbaord/backplane

That means you have to set up denominations, and some other settings.

Thanks Foster.  There is nothing wrong with the machine so I think I am just going to leave things be until I have a problem.  I thought there might be something different to do which is why I didn't do this the might I got the machine.

I was just looking at the stats on it and actual coin in or coins  played was almost $2 million so I know the machine wasn't cleared before I bought it.  I just thought a fresh start would be good but also this is useful information for me.  I learned something new today. applause applause

Off track ain't the word for it, here I am looking to see what key chip I need for your machine Capt. Happy and I get to read " if it ain't broken don't fix it." I like my saying better " Don't have sexual intercourse with a sore penis " I did clean it up a bit.  Key 17 would not get the job done but Key 31 did, you can pick it up at any time, I will have my BILL ready for payment. I was going to post a Pic. of my big ol 800 hit but figured I would get back charged for amusement fee's

Buzz, clearing and keying a multi-demon game was no different than a non multi-demon game EXCEPT you have to set the 4 demoninations and the percentage for each.  We (as in Chip) had all three of our games done within an hour, and that was including the time it took for me to program our name into the ticket printer.  Need help, just lemme know.

Ron  I put the Key 17 in it and all the LEDs stayed on. so I made a Key 31 and it worked. I didn't go into the setup a whole lot, that work isn't part of my contract with the owner. Now if I could program the printer tickets that couldn't be erased, I would do that work for FREE.  CaptainHappy Worried CaptainHappy Worried
