I replaced the battery and did a safe clear, and all is well , my question is if I leave the machine plugged in and turn the power switch off inside does that take power off the board and cause the back up battery to supply voltage to chips.

AS FAR AS I CAN REMEMBER THERE IS NO CHARGING OF THE BATTERY FROM THE MACHINE I WAS ALWAYS TOLD TO LEAVE NO CREDITS ON MACHINE AS THIS MAKES THE BATTERY TO WORK TO HOLD THEM
