I just acquired a bally 1090 video slot and the door open symbol is stuck on... the door switch (operated when closing the door) and inner hinge switch (hit by door plate when door is closed) work fine...could this be caused by a short? Also my coin accepted light panel is out - the opposite side works well.  Scratch Head Any help even would be great!!! Cheers! wave

Hi dcaglia, and welcome.
You might want to post this on the bally electronic section of the board.  Electromechanicals are for those bally machines without any electronics in them.
However, it would appear you have a switch open somewhere...
You should be able to find the self-test button, and go into test 1, which I think is for inputs.  On that screen you may find a list of switches, including your door switches.  You may find more than 2 door switches listed on there, and by closing each one of them you should see that reflected on the screen.  I suspect when you do get them all closed, the machine will automatically come out of self test.  And, it doesnt' hurt to check all those switches for kicks while you're in self test.  By checking them in self test you are ensuring that the machine 'sees' the switches close.  AFA your coin accept panel, ohm out all your lights to make sure they're good, and then look for a connector unplugged somewhere.
Wish I could help, but I'm not that good on Bally electronic machines.
Maybe somebody else here could jump in and give you a hand.

Thanks Aslot  (pun intended) for the help. I have all up and running, the main problem was the wrong fuses in place and shorts at light panels...the only minor problem left is now every now and then (especially when the machine is sitting idle after 3 coin play), the lights will stay fully lit (not following the coins-payline play) until I Power cycle the machine, only then the lights go off and follow per Payline play again. Either way I'm still happy! Thanks again!!

I've worked on a Bally V2000 Poker recently which I believe has the same power supply? And found that some of the solder joints on the back of the board needed resoldered and this repair helped with some issues I was having. Maybe worth a looksee if you have not had that board out of there.
