I will be on my way to Sin City in a few days.  I was just wondering if there are any places there where I can find some interesting old EM's for sale?  I am also seeking suggestions for great restaurants, the odder the better, shows, a place that I can play craps all day long without going broke, and other points of interest.  Please do share with me places to stay away from as well.

I would even like to meet up with a couple of New Life Gamers if possible.  The last time I was in LV the MGM Grand was under construction!  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Good place to play craps for cheap in right next door to Circus Circus..... What's the name of that place????
Oh, I think it's Fitzgerald's.
They have older machines and a craps table on the sidewalk for a min $1.00 during the day
You can play there all day for the fun. No glitz or glamor and you have to buy drinks.

Been a long time, I sure hope that place is still there.

Fiztgeralds was downtown and is now called "The D". Next to Circus Circus is Slots O Fun, a small sidewalk casino which is owned by Circus Circus.

Not sure where to find old EM's for sale? Only place I see them is on Craigslist for sale by individuals.

The Gamblers Store has old mech. slots and some S+'s, prices are too high for me. They are located south of downtown on Main Street, I believe.

Double Deck BlackJack is your best bet at the station casinos.
Fewer decks favor the players, generally casinos offset this edge with 6/5 paybacks. Station has 3/2
Pick up a players card for cheap buffets.
Check out the LasVegas advisor as they have all the deals Layed out.

If you want a good deal on a slot check out the vendors on our home page.
A drive to NLG headquarters in bull head city is about 2hrs and you can take in the Hoover dam  on the way and make a day of it.
I am not sure what he has for EM so a phone call might be prudent.l

There were EM's for sale at the Edgewater casino in Laughlin (first one on the North end of the Strip) ... if you're going to see NLG headquarters / Hoover Dam, then you will pass right by Laughlin and could stop at Edgewater too.

For restaurants, I like "Hash House A Go-Go" at The Quad (fka Imperial Palace).  For something out of the ordinary, try Minus 5 bar at Mandalay Bay.  Caesar's new buffet is amazing!

Best place for nightclubs and show descriptions is Vegas.com.  There's something for everyone.

As for what to stay away from ... the Key Largo casino ... it just burned down.  LOL!  Really, can't say what to avoid because everyone has different taste.  For example, I stay away from the Strip because of all the traffic.  Ha ha!

You'll have a blast no matter what.  Have fun!

Where are there EM's for sale at Edgewater???   Scratch Head

The Riverside (Don Laughlin's) sells a few GameKings, videos like Aristrocrats, and S2000's now and then, all priced $600. No ticket printers or hoppers. Must be a resident in a legal state, must wait one week for background check! My last trip down they had a GameKing and Dueces Wild video poker both sold awaiting the background checks. They usually have two to four machines at a time. This trip nothing was available as the two displayed were marked sold. Not that I need anymore.
They also have old collectable mechanicals but never have seen an EM there.

I was going to say Hash House also.  There is another location downtown in the Plaza Hotel at the end of the Fremont St. Experience--the portions there are ridiculous.  I had the BLT Bloody Mary which is pretty much like it sounds and pretty darn good too!   Fremont St. is fun pretty much every night but Fri/Sat the freaks really come out!  When I was there 3 weeks ago, I went to the Pinball Hall of Fame on Tropicana which is my favorite place and cheaper than gambling, rode the roller coaster at New York, New York, had awesome burgers at the Burger Bar inside New York, New York.  We raced electric go-karts that are hella fast at Pole Position Raceway also on that south end of town near the strip.  Minus 5 bar is a try it 1 time novelty but was closed when I was there.  The Rio buffets are awesome but expensive (Around $40-45) but you save about $5 with a players card.  There is a seafood buffet on the far end of the floor opposite where you come in the front door.  That buffet is amazing if you like seafood--they pretty much have all you can eat of everything seafood--and other stuff too.  Cant remember how many Lobster tails I had before I passed out....  We didnt make it to the new Mob Museum, there is always the Pawn Stars shop downtown too.  If you want to ride around the strip and not worry about driving (ie can have a few beers), we ride the "Deuce" bus.  You get an all day pass for like $8 and just hop on and off whenever you want--works great.  Have a great time!   Cool Thumbs-Up

I think I'm thinking of Riverside and I think you're right that they were the older collectible mechanicals.  It was a few years ago when I saw them, so a call first is always a good thing before you head down (if that's all they're heading down for).

From what I read a while ago, Slots-A-Fun got rid of their sidewalk craps tables, and they only have machines (no live table games of any kind).

Gang:

I printed out all of these places.  I can't wait!  The bad part is the lines and the strip search at the airports.  I know its needed however I don't have to like it.  Wish me luck!
