At one point in it life it worked, Not since i picked it up however,

Im assuming the backplane is the main board where the 2 removable cards slot into? Pulled them out and contact cleaned them, all seam to be plugged in tightly.

Is the model number is on the front? ES173-AW(A)

Cowboy,
If you look at his link posted, the screen doesn't show an EL Key in the start up menu. ALL of mine do. I thinking may it uses something to ram clear. ???

I haven't opened the link because I'm using my phone and don't trust the quality of my virus protection. My 1.5 was acting stupid a while back and the batteries were low, had to key it after the battery change, that's why I brought it up

Cowboy,
When you get home look at the link. I have 1.5's and 2.0's. I've not seen a start screen quite like this.

Got the ram cleared, there a button on one of the board you hold in when starting it! so simple now i know!

How ever i believe the machine need to be linked to work,

On the play screen i get these messages keep popping up and when i go into the audit setting i see this, these are the only faults it reporting.

http://imgur.com/xG8e9

How do i get around these? even on other models what do you do? ill try anything!

Oh im with you now, but i never got the keys with the game so i just been shorting out the wires to reset and go into audit mode,

The key lock it self on the reset only has 2 wires, so im guessing it only turn one way anyway?

Have a Golden Theater adv 2.0 game and as it boots up all the items on the small screen on front door all say ok,
till the very last item, Sound Data goes from Checking to loading sound files and each step is OK,.........
then loading files from storage cannot read.....
if I turn the reset key one way it goes into Out Of Service mode, if turn to Audit it then proceeds to kLM,......
on the board I see 1 red flashing light and the rest green ?
will the BV works when The game finally get running ?
Any Idea's on what I should do to fix this, Thanks Jim

Error 914 is a Comm error. on a 2.0 it probably looking for the Casino host system. You will need an EL Key to clear the error. The EL key are VERY hard to find and can be costly.

lindam1, it seems that as the game boots up, going thru it's checks, everything is ok till it starts to go thru the Sound Date, such
as checking Sound Files: OK, Loading Sound Files: OK, then at Loading Files from Storage cannot
read and it stops there ?

My error codes is different as you can see, maybe I should have started another subject instead of jumping onto this one which may have confused
some readers who wish to help, (lesson learned).

Golden Theater Game, 2.0 adv and 3 reel slot  with a sm screen to the right of the reels.

If I turn the reset key one way it's Out Of Service, turn it the other way and I'm in KL system check.

Also see the following error msg such as #480 Storage Read Error
                                                           #481 Storage Misc Error
                                                           #483 Storage Media Change

other question 1- is this a chip STCB6OM44023721113A9 was on the screen

Thanks for reading this

James,
It sounds like the CF card is missing or bad. Either way, (normally) you are going to have to clear the machine with an EL Key and start over. Advantage machine with any major Error must be cleared.

Thanks for pointing that out and I was told to get a card reader for the CF card and when I inserted it, it stated
That it was possibly corrupted and copy incorrectly and I believe like you that is my problem and I'm searching
For a replacement CF card with same theme as Golden Theater, would that be possible to get.
