Title: Bally 6000 door 50 error
Post by: gposing on July 19, 2013, 12:55:56 AM
this slot was given to me and I have no idea when the last time it worked.   I purchased new mains for it and clear chips.  Put them in and the pseudo coin in works, but when I close the door the 50 error appears.  Here is what I have found so far.  I traced the black and orange wire the goes from the cabinet optic to behind the reels, but it is not plugged into anything.   What I have found it should be in the J3 connector.  There is also a cherry switch on the door (picture attached).  When I place the slot into the input test, nothing happens when I press the button.   I tested the main door button with a meter and it was fine.  So I traced the blue and orange wire and it goes into a small silver box behind the WBA. (picture attached).  A blue and orange wire comes out of the box, but when I test it, there is no signal.  Also this blue and orange wire does go to the J3 connector.

Very confused???  :279-

I got the problem solved.  I was able to trace the door wires and found two of them that were unhooked in the door.
