I have Bally hopper motor and gearbox I'd be willing to sell you if you would rather have original. It's been bench tested. Have you bench tested yours?  Remove the hopper and remove the hopper board as to not damage it. Then I have a test cord I hook up to the motor and plug it into 110v for a quick test 5-10-15 seconds. Once again if your going to test your motor this way, disconnect and remove the hopper board so not to damage it...

I'm kind of a newbie on the slot scene..I've removed the motor and tested it with a test cord ,but why only a few seconds? isn't it a120v motor? Even with out the gearbox it gets real hot and bogs down. I may even have to help it start by twisting the shaft..My email is mrkcwls@yahoo.com....send me a note and I'll give you my phone number so we can work something out as far as your good motor...also what is a good manual for these E series machines? I just ordered a book off ebay but havn't recieved it yet.....Thanks for your response..Mark
