Help Please !!!
recently purchased a bally's slot. everything seems to work fine: takes coins, reels spin but when i hit a winning combination the coin hopper does nothing.what do i need to check to see if the coin hopper works?

In order for us to help you, we'll need to know some more about your machine.  Bally made dozens of different models of slot machines, and the troubleshooting procedures vary greatly between machine models.  A picture really tells a thousand words to help us determine what kind of machine you have -- are you able to post a picture or two of the outside and inside of the machine so we can determine exactly what model machine you have and be able to give you some better help?

Hi... Welcome to New Life Games... The more pics of the machine, and hopper, and reels the better we can use that information to help you with your problem. I have tested hopper motors by hooking up to my test cord with alligator clips connected right to the hopper motor leads using standard house hold current 110v. I just plug it in for a second to see if the motor powers up. It is possible that the hopper motor and gearbox need some oiling. There is an oiling hole that has a felt pad inside to help keep the oil from running all over, a few drops will go a long way...

But Amachanic, we don't even know if it's an EM or an E series yet. Scratch Head 2 
There could be many reasons why the hopper wouldn't engage on winning combinations in both cases.


P.S. I'll move the thread once we know what type of machine he has.

Sorry Stat frying pan your right, really should know what type of machine.  Scratch Head  I usually find myself working on E-Series. Just jumped the gun  Bunny Shoot   Sorry!

NOT a good idea to test the hopper motor on an e-series with the hopper board still attached!!!!
