Have you checked all the Aristocrat threads?
I'm sure this has been located before?

I don't have one on hand Gav.
The best thing to do is search the Aristrocrat threads/posts , find somebody who was asking before you and see who may have given them one? And try to send that person a PM (Personal Message) to see if they will send/email you one.
You need to fill out your profile better and allow our members to see you email so they can help you.
Ahhh!! I just looked...you are an Aussie! Awesome!

Australia is ...uh..."OZ" ? I didn't know that...
Learn something new everyday! lol

Anyways, Since you are so new here - it's hard for anyone to give you anything because quite frankly, nobody knows you.
This is only your 4th post on NLG and 3 of them are you asking for a manual...
I hope you can see what I mean?

Thanks for the advice,
I realise I'm new here & hello to everyone, it's a great forum. There is nothing like this in Oz.

If I can contribute any of my little knowledge I'm happy to help eg: Arcade/ Slots.

I have been searching for a few years for this manual with no luck.

Hi There, I'll contribute here as much as possible, Firstly a bit of history. This may bore some, but others may find it interesting.

I'm in New Zealand, Speaking to an operator who operated Pokies, Pinballs, Jukes etc in the early days, he told me the following:

In the 80's Internal Affairs hadn't really cracked down on gambling laws, so Poker machines were in Dairy's, Fish N Chip Shops and anyone could play them. New Zealand bought a lot of Secondhand Aristocrat's out of Australia. These started at the esprit mechanical narrow reeled one arm bandits, then went on to the esprit Atlas Microprocessor based versions.

Very often, a site owner would ring the machine operator and say that they had received a tip off that Internal Affairs were on the way to seize the machine. The operator would then order another second hand unit from Australia, clear out the money, Internal Affairs would seize it, Scrap it (Supposedly) and as soon as the replacement arrived it would get put back in the same location.

There was that much money cycling through them that this was still a profitable way of doing it. This went on for a while till the gaming rules were sorted out.

Then a lot of Esprit Atlas units appeared up for sale in Christchurch (My home city)

I bought 4x non working units and a box of spare parts.

Machines were: "Talent Scout", "Wild West", "Super Quartet", and "Queen Of Hearts"

Managed to get 2x of them working and the other 2x never did.

This was back in the early 90's, we had them all lined up in our flat and I think we were about 18 at the time.

Anyhow, in my quest to get these running, I faxed (no email back then) Aristocrat in Australia and by chance managed to get in touch with someone who remembered the system (They were out of production then) He mailed me 4x Bound Manuals. They include:

"Aristocrat Esprit Atlas Service Manual" - Sept 1979
"Aristocrat Esprit Parts Catalogue" October 1981
"Aristocrat Esprit Micro Processor Based Machines Generic Operators Manual"
"Aristocrat Wild West Plus Carousel Payout Unit" - The later machines had a carousel hopper instead of the standard type that kind of lays on its side

All are in hard copy format, I'll get on to scanning them, hopefully they provide some info for people to help fix their machines.

Now I'm not sure if this is a forbidden thing to mention/ask, If the game Roms are bad, is their a source for them anywhere? - Sorry if this is not allowed.

Cheers Iain

Hi Gav, another new aussie to the forum, i also have a aristocrat esprit, just wondering if you had any luck with a manual yet. I reckon i could be looking for a couple of power sources also that look like are missing from the top part of the machine, anyway a manual would be a good start. Hope you can help, thanks in advance.

I am repairing an Aristocrat Inca Sun 4 reel mechanical and need a circuit diagram, I have finally found the manual (Thanks to NGL) and it doesn’t contain the circuit diagram, Silly Me!

The Aristocrat Inca Sun 4 reels mechanical 1976-7 is this series described as the Regal Mk2 or ? Scratch Head

Thanks

Hi Everyone
I also have a few copies of old Aristocrat Esprit Manuals, the only issue is that the Mk2 only covers the mechanical stuff and not the electrical (Top Box and Hopper) sections. by some chance does anyone have the missing section I can get? I need from page 24 onwards.
Hope this helps.
