Welcome to NLG  nlg
I love the Odyssey's as I have two myself and a few extra parts to keep them going.

That's one hard machine to get to that island. Keep it under wraps.

hi again thanks for all your help , the coin hopper is now wired and works even paying out , the coin slot i pulled apart and have that now working . a mate showed me how to fix the pink tinge on the corner of the screen by pulling with a magnet . the last issue i have is the volume is very very low , you can barely hear it , the machine was like that when i purchased it and just before i pulled the hopper out for a little while the volume went up but i have looked everywhere there is no pot to increase volume . it is a old igt s i believe ?? and apparently the volume is adjusted by button pushing ??.. i have searched and searched but cant find a answer any ideas anyone please??

As far as a newer type and good for entry level, I would recommend a IGT S+
Super dependable, easy to work on and a lot of folks here to help you along the way.
Fill out your profile and you may find that another member is close by.

Howdy!

Been reading here for awhile and decided to join.  I am merely an individual with two ancient IGT video poker machines that I bought over ten years ago from two separate outlets in the Houston, TX area.  Both companies are long gone; however, the machines have worked great.  Experienced just the relatively small problems of agitators and batteries and have been able to get those fixed.  The small problems are multiplying, hence, this site (along with a slot machine company still going) is proving invaluable.

While I am a total luddite when it comes to electronics, computers and such, my husband is not so he understands most, if not all, the terms and is able to do a lot of stuff on his own.  We lack, of course, manuals for either machine.

Am interested in purchasing newer video poker machines in the future but just from browsing online the options seem very limited and I don't trust the ebay thing.

I love, love, love and am addicted to video poker and the machines I have at home.  Casinos in LA are tighter than, well........so I am happy to have what I have.

Thanks to all who make this site possible.  Will probably lurk more than post but will reply when necessary.  Cheers!

Hi-- new here.  Rick has already helped me through a couple issues.  I have an IGT+ reel slot.  Probably had it like 10 years in storage.  My son went off to college (U of F), so his room has become my Man Cave.  The slot is up and running-- finally getting around to working out a couple teething issues it has in it.  It is probably 95%.  Probably 98% now.  I have the video poker bug now.  That might be next.  I started with a pinball (Bally Xenon, first voice synthesis machine), very cool.   Still have it too.  Mark
