I am also in need of a S2000 manual, a friend of mine just opened a gaming lounge and has 30 S2000 machines in it. He just wants to know the basics like the Pay Out percentages, etc. I said I would try to help him out (I only have S+ machines). Can someone help me out. Thanks.

   There are many different versions...

S2000I  Field service Manual
S-2000 troubleshoot man
S2000/Vision Manual
Vision_S2000_Series_mech_parts

and others....including slant tops...  anything in particular you are looking for?

Asgard, check the Submit New File tab, there should be several items of interest there.

I haven't read through everything yet (lots of pages) but this is what my friend wants me to help him out with :
Minimum payout limit in Jamaica is 85%, he thinks his machines are paying out too much. The supplier in the states is telling him the payout varies between 91% and 93%, some machines 91% some 93%, he has no problem if this is so. Due to stiff competition no one operates below 90%. He just wants to make sure so he wants to check the payout % on each machine, mostly reel slots. What I want to know is how is this done ? I've done it with my S+ machines but I know it is different with the S2000.

« Reply #11 on: October 04, 2008, 03:33:10 PM »

On the S2000 go to the KEY CHIP menu 7.1.2 GAME SELECTION to see what the machine is currently set at.  If you want to see what percentages are available you will have to use the KEY CHIP to select the lowest percentage available.  Make sure there are no credits on the machine when doing this.

If you want to change it you need to use the Key Chip.  Most games have up to 10 different percentages to choose from.

I you go to the Key Chip menu you will see what it does.  Those settings can only be adjusted with a Key Chip.

Sort of...You can select from a list of different "games" (percentages) that are listed BUT you will need a Key Chip (not a set chip) to actually change the selection yes

The KEY Chip is used in place of the Game chip at boot to activate certain functions such as percentages and progressive selections on a S2000

Your friend can still check as to what the percentages are set to with out the key chip...he just needs it to modify the settings.

Maybe I should have been more specific in my request for a manual.

What I was was looking for were set up procedures. For example what certain settings will do, and what settings have to be the same/similar in order for everything to work correctly.

Say I want to turn off the hopper, use DBV only, and ticket printer. This is one thing I have done but I
lm not sure I have it just right.

Here is a link to the S2000/Vision setup portion of the manual in the Submit New Files section. Pretty much everything is there, including the tests you can do to check your printer. The only problem is if the machie does not recognize the printer and then you would have to find/enable it through the netplex screen. I do not believe you would need a Key chip for those changes.

I'm looking for the S-2000 Trouble shooting manual. If anybody has a source please let me know. I have a couple of them with error codes. I'm familiar with the S+ but the 2000s are new to me.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Darrell

Opening the door should tell you the error, unlike the S+, the S-2000 states the error in words, but if you post the specific error we can help you figure it out

I'll list the errors tonight when I get home. Do you know were I could order a Key Chip and a Clear chip? After reading all the llinks on the 2000s I would like to have them on hand.

Ok, my first machine has the message: Displays NETPLEX link is down.

The second machine is flashing: Closure B,  Restart, Door open M, and Meter Disconnected.

And the third machine is: Machine is Out of Service.

I've ordered the Key chip and Clear chips from Blue Ridge. (Thanks)

The Machine out of service is easy, just press the self test, push the cash out button until (6) Machine out of Service, push Spin Reels, Press the Service or Change Button (all the way to left) the display will say Machine in Service, Press the Max Bet Button 3 times to exit the Set Up, just a note, the functions for Options are Service and Cash out Toggle up and Down, Spin Selects the option and Max Bet saves and goes back, if you hit the Spin Reel after changing the option it will reset back to what it was, you may have to open and close the door a few times to clear the message if you opened the door several times with the message out of service as the game stacks codes, on the Netplex Down, you may not have the board in or Software in the game or not in Correctly, the DFoor Open, Meters Disconnected is Just that, the Door is not Shut or Optics are not hooked up or aligned, and the Meters are probably disconnected
