The mismatch should clear when you open and close door.

If you just upgraded the BV simply opening the door, waiting a few seconds and closing the door should clear it, if the machine has the wrong ID software in it, you will get the message, the correct ID for S-2000 is ID 024 (this is if you have a WBA and not Mars), you can not mix validators from a S+ to a S-2000 as a note, also if you put the wrong ID software in the bv and clear a game, either with a clear chip or game change it will disable the bv, on the original problem, the game is picking up a different checksum on the BV software

Hello!

When I recently upgrade my Mars BV with a new firmware, I got this message.  I had to disable the BV - open close door - then re-enable BV - open close door - to get this error to go away.  The error made sense for me because I had changed the chip.  But simply opening/closing door did not clear it.

Also, I suppose if you swapped in a different BV (even the same model) for troubleshooting and the firmware was a different version - you would also get this error.

I should have been more clear, I usually wait at least 30 seconds after opening the door the first time the error appears, if you open and close the door quickly the machine will stack the error and cause you to have to repeat the motion, it does take a bit longer for the bv communications than a normal error, one feature of the S-2000 is the stacking of errors (keeping each one until cleared), just a note for future searches, on the newer IGT Video games (GK or I, I+) you have to go into the menu, select bv or perif devices and clear crc mismatch

Just to add some notes that might help someone else, if you switch BV's after it works or update it to new software you will get the BV CRC error.  Otherthen not waiting for the BV to come up which can take a while as Jim stated but if it still does not work make sure to go into the Netplex setup and ensure that it says BV installed.  If not auto cycle it.

It must say installed and not "not installed"
