I have the Printer ENABLED (7.2.2.1)

Player Cash out menu ENABLED (3.1.7.1)
Player Cash Out Limit set at $10/40 credits (3.1.7.2)
Hopper Limit: 1000 credit, Credit Limit: 4000 credits, Jackpot limit: 1000 credits, BV Limit: 1000 credits

When I attempt to CASH out it flashes between "Press Cash for coins only" and then "Sorry Printer is not available"

When I use the printer test the printer will not advance or print tickets.  I have tried a second know good printer with the same results
When I run the Nexplex it shows the printer ENABLED.

I know I must be missing something simple just don't know what else to try.

Just an idea but are you using the correct kind of tickets, thermal and loaded correctly with the bar code facing up.
When you have the tickets loaded are you able to press the button or move the lever and have it advance one ticket?

The paper is in correctly and I've used a printer from a second slot (that has no problems) and still won't work.
Thanks the suggestion.

You might want to check your 7.2.1 set ups.

7.2.1.1 validation type        { standard
7.2.1.2 validation security    { disabled
7.2.1.3                             { use printer as cashout device
7.2.1.4                             { don't validate      I think this was the one where I had my problem,  good luck wave and it might be time to go back to the NLG arcade for me.

Hello!

Anthony is right, Validation must be set to "Standard" - yours is probably set to "Ehanced".  You will need a Key Chip to change this setting.  Check out this thread for more details http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=62.msg172#msg172.

Thanks!

according to the thread http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=62.msg172#msg172 the printer should work using the I/O test no matter what the setting.  I tried the I/O test but it would not advance or print a ticket.  I'll check out the Validation setting tonight and see if it helps

Hello!

Make sure you have the paper in the printer correctly - the printing side should be face down.  From the top you should see the back with the black squares on it.

Thanks!

You might want to check your 7.2.1 set ups.

I currently show on mine-
7.2.1.1 validation type       { standard
7.2.1.2 validation security   { disabled
7.2.1.3                             { use printer as cashout device
7.2.1.4                             { don't validate     I think this was the one where I had my problem,  good luck wave and it might be time to go back to the NLG arcade for me.

Anthony

I made the settings per Anthony's post, the printer will now work using the I/O test (it will both advance and print tickets).  It still shows as unavailable when attempting to cash out.  I believe all my LIMIT settings )see earlier post) are correct since they work on another machine.

I have loaded the paper in 4 different ways, with the black square up it loads and then backs up to the proper spot.

Hopefully someone has another suggestion
Thanks
Bob

I started to do that the other night and it seems to be difficult, I was also concerned about LEGAL issues.  I live in Kentucky and slots are legal for home entertainment purposes.  Does anyone know of any leagal issues with putting your name or business name on the tickets?  Might be good advertisement but only if it's legal.

I would think that the problem would be if some fool would try to use it in a casino. Maybe you can put nonnegotiable on it some way. Maybe by stamping it when you print it. Just a thought.
