Title: Mikohn Controller Problem
Post by: cowboygames on April 26, 2011, 02:23:28 PM
I had to change the cmos battery on my progressive contol board because it went dead. Of course now when I turn the machine on, it's a bally 6000 Monte Carlo, the best I get is a display alternating C1 and C2 on the progressive and 9.1.nc on the win paid display. Can someone tell me what I need to do next? This is a CHAMII Mikohn. Thanks for any help :89-

The 91NC error is the progressive trying to talk to the CPU module with no luck. You will need to program the CHAMII controller. To do this you will need a laptop with a serial port, a special cable from the laptop to the CHAMII controller, and you will need PSP software on the laptop. You can get the machine to run without the progressive by pressing the test button until 11d shows in the winners paid window and wait for 27d to show upin this window. press the bet max button until you display 002d in the winners paid window. This should be set at 0004 in the credit window. Press the "change " or"service" button until this setting is 0000 in the credits window. Shut the door and the machine will play without the progressive. Hope this helps. If you need help give me a call at 502-422-0615.

I just recently programmed a ChamII+ on a Bally 6000 Blazing 7s and wrote down all of the settings (well, typed them into a Notepad file) -- they're on a laptop I never use except for PSP stuff, but I'd be happy to fire it up and relay the information if you need to know what to set everything to in PSP to send to your meter.  Let me know if you need it.

Knagl, thanks for the offer :131-, but I just shipped it to Idylewild1 a couple days ago for programming. I'll keep you in mind if the need rises again.
