Question is  3X4X5  a S 2000 game or is it from a S+ theme?  I think it's S 2000 but I'm tring to help Railroad with his sound SIMM and got the bright idea to use a SB001000 along with a SS chip. I think I'm dead in the water but have to ask.   Help Help Help

Is the SB for that game one of these? >>>

SB100781 DBL 3X 4X 5X PAY  SG251  U21 27040 844H
SB100783 DBL 3X 4X 5X PAY  SG251  U21 27040 U599

I couldn't find out if it used any particular DSV sound SIMM other than a DSV00042.

I talked through this with somebody a few weeks ago, and if memory serves, legacy sounds are all that you get with this theme...at least concerning spin and roll-up.

Bunker   it's SB100783  I tried 4 different SIMMs and couldn't get any enhanced sounds, about the only difference was stero. the DSV000042 was a dud with this SB chip.

Well, the Gaming list shows these SB chips for the 2X3X4X5X family of games. I wonder if any of them are cross compatible with the enhanced sounds. Of course looking at all  the specs would be the first order of business. But that sure seems like an awful lot of different base chips.

SB 100783--DOUBLE 3x4x5x TIME,  with the enhanced board & the 0042 sound chip. &  SG 000363
When you go threw  you sound test you get all the dings,  dongs, & other sounds..
When playing the game you will hear a blonk? sound on any 2x,3x,4x, or 5x.
All the other sounds, roll up, reels, etc. are the generic S2000 sound. I believe it's the legacy sound?

Probably outsourced the development and cut US jobs during the development of that title.

well I ran into the same problem with the same game and the same results.
their are a few parts missing in the programming that will allow the set up.

It's not a bad looking game too.
But with generic sounds - one gets pretty tired of it fairly quick.
It's too bad...they could sure screw up a neat looking game.

Where are those IGT chip programmer guys when we need 'em?   lol
We need them to reprogram the chips to make the enhanced sounds work... stir the pot / get cooking
