Hi
I'm requesting some help in re mounting door optics from a 3 reel to 5 reel.If you own a 5 reel game could you send me or post a picture of your door optics mount,and of the cherry switch.Have searched the forums with no luckThere is a few posting of a 3 reel to 4 reel conversion,but with the 5 reel i have less room..Here is a picture of what i have.

Coorslight did one of these about 3 month ago. If you go through forum index you should be able to find it.

Hi
I did spot that post by coorslight,But my cabinet is not the same.He had a pre cut out PC of the cabinet that could be bent outwards to mount the optics.Mine dose not have that for mounting the optics.So this is why i was requesting some pictures that i could use for installing my optics.

Another option is to use the cherry switch as the optics.
It can be done.

I and Stout have the cherry switch wired with only 2 wires 1 going to the door optic connection near reel 1 and the optic connector for the cabinet optic.

Look for a white 2 pin connector. it is easy to find if you follow the red with white tracer and green wire from the door down to it.
You want the red with white wire (machine side of course.)
The door side connect tot he green wire at the door optic connector.

use the extra set of terminals  of the cherry switch connect  wires to the Common and the Normally open (NO or N.O.) terminal
run one wire to the green wire contact at the cabinet optic and the other to the red/white wire in the 2 pin connector you find near reel one.

I know it works I the cherry switch instead of the optics. the machine cant tell the difference.
